ABOUT US

In 2006 at the suggestion of USBC, the local men (WWMBA), women (Tri-City) and youth boards combined to become Western Wayne County USBC. Since the merger, a lot of changes have taken place. The Association has worked very hard to move forward and offer our bowlers new and exciting tournaments and make changes to old ones. The Century Doubles tournament was added where the combined age of the two bowlers had to equal at least 100 years of age! A Masters tournament was also created at the request of a lot of the talented bowlers in the association that were looking for a highly competitive scratch tournament. In the Youth Association Championships both singles and doubles events were added for the first time.
The Association also bid on and won the right to host the Michigan State USBC BA bowling tournament for the first time in the history of the local associations and this year the Association will be hosting the Michigan State USBC Women's Bowling Association tournament for the very first time. These tournaments are a lot of work, but the Association feels the benefits received for our bowlers are well worth it. The revenue created from both of these events has helped and will continue to help defer the rising costs of hosting our local tournaments, as well as enhancing the prize funds.
As you can see the Association put a lot of time and effort into this sport. The Association will continue to do so as long as bowlers come out and support us by bowling in the tournaments the Association offers.
